1. 3-D chat room
2. Pretty scenery: IMO some of the most beautiful in the game.
3. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Defender_of_Ascalon
Among other things.

cause Pre-searing is a great place to get away from in-game hardcore gamer noobs. pre-searing is a lot more friendlier area of the game where people actually help each other out and is a fun place to be.

somehow, it has kept it;self clean from the rest of the trash areas in the game. unless someone else has found a nice outpost to hangout in.

Aside from the LDoA Title, there are a few Dye farming areas/quests in Pre.

With the loot tables minimal in Pre, Dye seems to drop much more often. Pre-Searing is also the only place to get Charr Bags, a green drop that is a 10-slot bag.

Yes, Charr bags! What hot-blooded male doesn't love Charr bags!
In addition to what people mentioned already, some guild recruiting is done in Pre. There are many new players there, most of which appreciate help from an experienced player.

Because going post-searing means the game stops being fun and turns into a massive grind. Pre-searing was some of the most fun I ever had back with my old Prophecies toons. I even got one up to lv18~20 before going post-searing. I believe that was my warrior. Either way it was more fun than anything in post, up to the end of the game.

AMEN to that SISTER Trinity Fire Angel

First off Let me say that I have given away almost all of my gold in Post. I have deleted several toons in post and tonight I think that I am going to do the same again...in post.

Why, is there anything to offer me in Post that there is not in Pre?

Weapons:
There are Elite weapons in Post - Chrystaline
There are Elite weapons in Pre - Sundering 20/18 Sword 12-16 14^50 Vrs Charr 18%

There is Dye in Pre, there are dye in post

There are nice people in pre that help you out and do things for free, give away gold free. Not in post. Find me one person that will pay for another player to get a service for free. Good luck.

I did this last night. Someone wanted a bear. It takes 2 people to get a bear. I DO NOT KNOW how to get a bear. I do know where to go for a bear. It costs 500 gold to get a bear. I give away 3K for them to get a bear.

In presearing the scales drop 3-9 gold. so 3000 gold is Lots of gold. I put a call out for the bear Tamer and I tell them to charge the person looking for a bear 3,000 gold. They say why and I say cause I gave them 3000 gold to give to you to help them. I say I know it is 500 gold but please help this person out they are a friend of mine.

Ok i lied cause I did not know them before but I bet you that I am on their friends list.

So the community is much easier. There are quests that build friendships. Like getting the res signet. You can not just get a hero and go get it..there are no heros, just real player. No one charges a fee for helping them get the res. We just do it cause it is the RIGHT THING TO DO!

Try and find that in post and I am not talking about guild members either. Ask someone in post to do something for you for free and see what you get. ITS A GAME people. Its a game.

So Elite stuff covered, community is the best in the game so that is covered, Titles. Lets look at titles.

Legendary Defender of Ascalon. Is this title MINDLESS? YES it IS! so just set up the DL take 25-30 minutes then go to sleep. wake up kill the baddies get xp. Cost is electricity and 50 gold to open door and 30 min to set it up.

Sweet Tooth: There are drops during festival times

Drunken: IS FREE title - minus time. You can farm 40 stacks of ale in a little shy of 3 months at 3 hours a night. Oh right YOU NEED A FRIEND. good luck with that in post.

Party Animal - again at festival times

So there are the above examples. Now there is MY thoughts. If I can get to someone early and help them to understand the game they make for better players in POST. The winers shouting stuff in outposts in pre get ignored. We tell them to GO TO POST they have what they are looking for in post. This way they become YOUR problem since they can not get back to pre.

Nice of us eh? so there is an exclusive club in pre. We are the few the Proud the Post haters.

Is this fair, I think so. How many of you in post want to run with a SMITING Monk at Hell's or in the Crystal Desert? NONE. No one oh unless you are paying someone to be afk so that you can get the mission done and ascend. GOOD LUCK. So you end up playing the H/H game 99% of the time. BIG deal. I wanted to play with others, MMORPG. does not happen for me in post. Now it is even worse. Good luck doing some things cause you are not URSAN.

Who cares. People care that's how. There are honest real people in pre. Why else would you stay in pre? My war is only 17 my monk is lvl 10 and my ele is lvl 12. I play almost entirely in pre. I like it there. I have friends that are there. If you do not like pre then get out and never come back.

As for us, we will be here when there are new people playing the game for the first time. They will ask us what is a rune? We will answer them with KINDNESS and WARMTH of HEART, not a FAIL or NOOB or crappy players like you who needs them.

So that is pre. It is MY pre. If I want to help someone out I do. The community benifits for it. Do I get ripped off sure. Do I wine? No. Do I know I am getting ripped off yes. Did I get offered a 11-15 dmg sword 14^50 for 7.5K last night? I sure did. Did I buy it? I sure did. Did I pay the asking price? NO I DID NOT! I paid 60,000 gold for it. Why BECAUSE IT IS WORTH 60,000 GOLD. Did this player from post know it was worth 60,000? NO cause a 11-16 Sword in Post is WORTHLESS. NOT in PRE though. That is the 2nd BEST sword in PRE. 12-16 is 150,000 gold or more.

Here is a question. If I would have MAJOR ripped this guy off and he finds out about it what is his reaction? Oh am I stupid? Or is it That Bugger Ripped me off and knew it! Do you think this guy will help me in the future? Do you think this guy will help others in pre? No. Why would he?

On the other hand. He wants 7,500 gold for the sword and puts it in the trade window expecting 7,500 gold. And I close the trade window and say WAIT. That sword is worth at least 50,000 gold and I WANT IT BAD. I will give you 60,000 gold and open the trade window. What is his reaction? Holy Crud and H O N E S T person or his this person stupid? He most likely thinks BOTH.

Is there any morals left? Any Honor? Any love for the sake of the game? Any respect left for yourself or is everything for sale for a MASSIVE Profit.

Do you think that if this guy finds a 12-16 dmg sword he will hesitate to PM ME? Do you think that if he needs a fav he will look me up? Do you think that he told his guild what I did? You bet he did. Did he feel stupid for trying to sell it for 7.5K maybe but I am darn sure he was glad to sell it to me.

Guess what? I made a potential CONTACT in the game for stuff that I want.

Now there is a name for this. it is COMMUNITY. That is what PRE is. It is not just a place to get a title LDoA or some basic skills or be done with it in 4 hours. It is a chance to belong to a group of people that care about others and help others and strive for the best in others.

It is Selfless in Pre not Selfish like Post.

Yes, there are elite weapons in pre, but what are you killing with them?

Yes, there are better dye drops in pre, but what are you dyeing with them?

I love pre, and as I mentioned to you before, I am lusting after a black bear taming.

I just wanted to know, that's all. Not being a smartass.

I recently changed guilds, to one recruiting in pre, just as you mentioned too. Lotsa good fun, great helpers, talkers, just like you mentioned.

Well Bob, let me start by offering you my hand of friendship.

I am in a guild, a guild of one. There is no fighting in my guild as leader and only member I will not allow it. LOL

What to dye in pre? Well same things as in post. Weapons, Armor, Shields.
The Real purpose of dye is you can only carry 100K on you. So how do you accumulate more wealth than 100K? With Dye. Dye are stackable. Black dye is a rare drop keeping the value between 5.5K and 6.5K. I buy Black at 6.2K and sell them for 6.5K for example.

So Dye is your cash flow not just for coloring stuff. People that dye their armor Black either A) Want to B) Like the color c) Have to much gold D) Do not know its value or do not have 100K E) Vanity.

All are perfectly fine in my mind. If you got it use it how you want. Nothing of mine is black even though I have 6 of them at this time cause I can not carry more than 100K since there is no storage in pre. Neither are their dye trading NPC's so you cannot just buy Black dye when you feel like it.

Now for the Black Bear. As I said I do not know how to do it nor do I want to learn it. Black Bear is the WORST Pet in the game for attack speed vrs damage output. Check out the official wiki for that. I speak words of wisdom when I say it is the Worst pet for attacking in the whole game bar none. That said, I can help you get one in Fobiles Fair if you like as in my other post. Follow it to see the rules.

As for questions, us people in pre LIKE questions. We do not label people as NOOBS or worthless like in post. There is no FAIL there is just Friendship. We hate the feel pf Post. The gimmy gimmy NOW group. This is also why we love the LDoA title. You can not just say..I am going to get the LDoA title today and get it. No no. You can say I want to WORK towards the LDoA title and I am going to start today. It is a PROCESS. Here is a quote. If you understand this you will understand the pre.

For anything worth having one must pay the price; and the price is always work, patience, love, self-sacrifice - no paper currency, no promises to pay, but the gold of real service.
John Burroughs

This is my pre Shane, this is my pre.

I've toyed with this idea for awhile now. I'm gonna drop my Paragon that I dont play and create a new toon for permaPRE. Sounds like a lot of fun.

RLBadKarma look me up. Im Not Your Mother or Yashi Hiro Moto. I can help you get some fast gold and lvl you up to 4 all that the same time.

Pre is fantastic. It looks like I just got Flamed. Must be someone from Post. However my old guild was [SOLO]. My guild is now [Lord] to reflect my personal beliefs.

Why is it that the folks from post think that they have a say to what goes on in pre. There are not there in pre. They do not care about pre. They think that we are useless. They think that we are mad.

See I might ramble on about pre but I understand your hurt and pain. Your lack of understanding leads you to hatred of things that you do not understand. I am not saying that you will not understand I am saying that you do not want to understand. That is the difference. Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Charity, Faithfulness and love are absent where selfishness leads the way.

Kindness is extended as an outstretched arm of Friendship not hatred. IrisLee was your coment about the community of presearing or as an attack on my personal characture? Either way it still does not diminish my desire to help others that require it.

Your comments only go on to prove that what we say about post is true even to the lengths as to punish pre on account of me. Let it not be so.

Uh why would you buy a game to hang out in essentially a chat room? Nerding out in online chat rooms on a video game...I'll pass and actually play the game.
Quite simple really. You've said it's a video game...so people get enjoyment out of it the way they want. All MMORPG's revolve around a social aspect, and some players in the World grab hold of that aspect more than the adventuring. MMPORGS's also revolve around the adventuring aspect, so others prefer spending more time doing this.

It's not hard to grasp that people get enjoyment out of the game however they choose. It's like looking at football and wondering why goalkeepers enjoy standing around in goals, every so often saving some shots. When you have the outfield players wondering how the goalkeeper gets any enjoyment from that, whilst they are attacking and defending, actually kicking the ball about.

We all get enjoyment from different aspects of games.
